X-band Panel Array with Planar up down converter
- Description of the technology(ies) involved:
LRDE is working on multiple AESA Radar (AESAR) design & development for future generation fighter aircrafts. Current airborne AESAR radars developed in the lab are utilizing plank based Active Array Antenna unit (AAAU) architecture which is higher in volume and weight.
The objective of the technology is to establish state-of-the-art panel based active phased array antenna technology piggy backed with direct up-down converter that would provide cutting edge features (low profile, light weight, compact and cost effective) to the LRDE radars.
